How to make money using your Talent

In my view, everyone has some talent and can use their talent to make money.. for example...

a) some people are very good writer, they can do freelancing editing work, start their online magazine.
b) If you have a good sense of business, you can become "Business plan" writer, they are in demand.
c) You can write grants and help those who are looking to apply for grants but dont know how to write.
e) People who are love to cook.. can teach cooking at community colleges or have private classes or start home catering service.
f) If you are a good sales person and have good sales tips to give to people, start coaching/training sales technique to those who want to learn a thing or two about it.
g) You can start online teaching - may be teaching English to non-english speaking people.

There are plenty of things that one can do without investing much money.. may be a couple of $100 to start with !!

All it takes is the projection - how do you project your talent, your capabilities and how do u market yourself..

I have decided...

I have decided after loosing my current job that i am not going to work for anyone again.. i have to be self-dependent.. enuf of listing to the BS of those who dont know much but pretend to know all.

Imagine... the number of hours and the amout of energy we put in for others company to grow, if we do that for ourself, we will definitely be successful and make it big. Be an Entrepreneurs !!

Government encourages small business owners to grow and a lot of help is available.. not just loans but advisory board and in some cases funding opportunities as well.
www.sba.gov is one place where one can visit and talk to them for low interest rate loans and advice as well. Some universities have small business development centre who advice on various aspects of business free of cost.

I think, it is a great idea to work for yourself... you be the BOSS !

How could they do this to me ?

Recession !!! what an excuse to fire someone even if the company is not going through any recession !!
I am a victim of such an incident. For the past five years I have been working with this company, gave my heart and soul and worked smartly, didnt even think about the late working hours or the weekend, worked whenever it was required... and today, the management decided to get rid of me for no reason. Well... i know the reason and i spelt it out to them when i was given this news.. but as usual.. the top management will never agree to something that is not in their favor.
And how I wished... i had a Godfather in the company who could have saved my job and would not let me go. This has made me realised that i should not have worked extra hours unless I am going to get paid for that AND i should have worked on making one of the management guys as my pal.. so that i cud have stayed here little longer.

All those.. who work with a small company which is growing, make sure you have a Godfather in the company to save your job.. till this recession is over.
